Waterways Cruises was founded in 1994 and grew from a small family operation into Seattle's most upscale cruise and event company.   Originally starting with one yacht for private charters, Waterways successfully expanded its operations to four luxurious vessels (Emerald Star, Olympic Star, Destiny and Hight Spirits), accommodating upwards of 30,000 guests per year in the last 14 years.

In 2005 Waterways further expanded its venue and entertainment options, adding The Lakeside Event Center and CaterArts Catering on the north end of Lake Union.  

The Lakeside now serves as the HomePort for Waterways' fleet, while CaterArts provides exclusive catering for all on- and off-premise Waterways' events.  No longer just a cruise company, the newly renamed Waterways Cruises and Events offers gourmet first-class catering and an outstanding banquet facility for shoreside entertaining. 

Starting May 1st, 2008, Waterways Cruises is expanding its operations to Kirkland, bringing outstanding service and entertainment to the Eastside.  Waterways public cruises as well as private yacht charters will be available for departure from Carillon Point in Kirkland.
