"My wife and I took a brunch cruise with our 3.5 year old son and 1 year old daughter. I was a little apprehensive about taking our children but as we just moved to town, we don't have any babysitters. However, I had nothing to worry about. The crew was extremely friendly (and kid friendly) and the food was amazing! Being new to the area it was a wonderful way to see some incredible scenery and learn about the area. It was a wonderful family afternoon but would also have been great as a romantic cruise for two or an impressive outing if you're entertaining people from out-of-town. I highly recommend it!" – Larry W. on Yelp
"Dear Waterways: My family and I have just returned from a trip on The Olympic Star. I must thank the kind and able Captain and crew for their superior assistance in enabling my 87 year old Dad who is an amputee to have a lovely cruise and delicious meal aboard. I believe your crew went above and beyond the normal call of duty and it was so obviouisly sincerely done. My Mother and Father enjoyed the whole trip so very much and it was all because of the superior service. The day was just fun from start to finish. Mum and Dad will never forget this and neither will my husband and I. Thank you Waterways." – Jennifer R.
"Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the cruise to Kiana Lodge with lunch this past Wednesday. Despite gray clouds and light rain, it did not dampen our spirits. I want to first give a big thank you to the great crew on the Emerald Star – Captain Larry, Brandy, Max and Eric. They were very professional, hospitable and personable the entire trip, and they happily answered the many questions I had about Waterways and your most popular public theme cruises. And, we were very pleased with the ship itself. The Emerald Star is definitely a cut above what we have experienced before, in its set-up and décor. The sofas and arm chairs on the upper deck were especially inviting and comfortable. The intimate size of the ship made the experience more personal. Also, I couldn't help but notice when I boarded how clean all the windows were! I'm sure that is not an easy task on any ship, or even in any home. But, the nice, large windows were virtually spotless and enhanced the enjoyment of our cruise, including when we were treated to porpoises playing in the seas as we sailed by. Kiana Lodge was also beautiful, and even with the drizzle we all wandered inside and out, strolling along the beach and in the gardens. The salmon lunch was delicious, and one lady said it was perhaps the best salmon she had ever had. On the return cruise, the assorted desserts and cookies with coffee and tea were thoroughly enjoyed and devoured, adding to a perfect outing on a less-than-perfect day.On behalf of members of the Washington Athletic Club, please extend our thanks to the captain and crew."

"I had a very pleasant time with my wife. We enjoyed the filet mignon and the halibut, wrapped in banana leaves. There was a very nice classical guitarist that played the entire 2.5 hours we were on the boat. The captain was very informative as well as to the local celebrities along places like Medina (i.e. Bill Gates). We had a very nice time and would recommend it to anyone."

"The brunch cruise was really fun. It was an intimate crowd which surprised me… thought it would be too big. The captain was funny and informative and the food rocked. I will definitely bring people from out of town on this. It’s a great way to see the lake. We brought our 10 month old and it was great for her. Clean high chairs (which is rare) and they gave us some food to keep her busy when we were getting started."

"The cruise was beautiful even though it rained on and off thoughout the evening. I thought the food was great! The staff was very attentive. The location in Renton is easy to get to. I'd definitely go back."

"Was a wonderful dinner cruise around Lake Washington. The food was delicious and they served appetizers. We were greeted with a glass of cold champagne as we entered the boat. What a wonderful gesture! And, the waitresses as well as the captain made you feed special."

"This cruise was outstanding! The crew was exceptional from the Captain to the servers. Everyone made sure our experience was memorable. The food was to die for. We had the Halibut wrapped in banana leaf. It was succulent! I would recommend this trip to anyone, and have already talked it up to many of my friends. Go! You won't be disappointed!"
